It is my job to photograph the people who live in the community where I work.
I saw this lady who does not know these children stop what she was doing to take their photograph and walk away.
I do not think that people normally photograph other people's children without a reason.
Maybe the fact that I'm African-American makes me more sensitive to images like this. My first reaction to this picture is one of distrust of the woman's intentions.
